Dawnmarie McDermid is a New Jersey-based graphic designer with a career spanning in publishing, museum exhibits, pharmaceutical design, boutique firms, and corporate event planning. A Kean University graduate, her work has earned recognition from the Art Directors Club of New Jersey and the Presidential Excellence Award for Adjunct Teacher of the Year. She has also been featured in the publications Graphic Design Solutions, Second Edition, and 2D: Visual Basics for Designers.

In recent years, she has specialized in corporate event branding. She has worked on large-scale conferences/meetings, company launches, and nonprofit galas, collaborating with organizations to create visually compelling and strategically impactful experiences. She seamlessly blends creativity with messaging to bring brands to life, ensuring that each event leaves a lasting impression.

Beyond her design career, she has also dedicated herself to education, serving as a professor and Creative Director at the Michael Graves College/Robert Busch School of Design at Kean University since 2004. This opportunity allows her to integrate her industry experience into the classroom. Through her leadership, students have worked with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the Clooney Foundation for Justice, Coastal Habitat for Humanity, and The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.

In addition to her professional achievements, her greatest source of motivation is her three children, who inspire everything she does.
